The 22 ha estate is located in Maimbray in the town of Sury-en-Vaux. The vineyard has been passed down for 4 generations now and embodies the ambitious new generation of the Sancerre vineyard. Quality and precision reflect the work of this estate with a desire to improve year after year the quality of the work in the vineyard (in conversion to organic farming) but also in the cellar with their traditional vintages and exemplary plots. Julien and Clément do not hesitate to work their wines in various and varied containers: stainless steel vats, Austrian tuns, demi-muids, 228l barrels, tapered vats.

Tasting and Food-pairing
Taste and nose The color is ruby, the nose is concentrated with notes of cherries and morello cherries, finely blended with toasted notes from aging in barrels. Round and greedy palate enhanced by spices (pepper) and silky tannins lining the palate. Wine which suggests an aptitude for aging: to open from 3 years and can be kept up to 10 years or even more.
Food pairing Wine that goes well with meat such as lamb, duck, guinea fowl.
Vintage 2018/2019
Grape Variety Pinot Noir
Soils/exposition Clay-limestone soil and basement of Kimmeridgian limestone slabs.
Vinification Manual harvest. Vinification without sulphites. Sorting on a vibrating table. Vatting for 3 to 4 weeks with very little intervention (only small pumping over). Pressing and filtration of press juices. Blend of free-run juices and press juices. Entonnage of clear juices in barrels of 500 L (70%) and 228 L (30%) with a proportion of 20 to 30% new depending on the vintage for 12 months. Malolactic fermentation takes place naturally in spring.
